Jef Boeke, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Tandon and Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at NYU Langone was inducted into the National University of Inventors, in recognition of his pioneering work in genomics and constructed biology.

Jonathan Niles-Weed, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Courant Establish for Mathematical Sciences and the Heart for Data Science, was awarded a fellowship from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Neset Ozel, Postdoctoral Fellow in Biology and Genomics in FAS, has received the Peter and Patricia Gruber International Inquiry Honour in Neuroscience from the Society for Neuroscience.

Okhee Lee, Professor of Childhood Education at Steinhardt, received the 2021 Exemplary Contributions to Practice-Engaged Enquiry Award from the American Educational Research Association.

Enrique Rojas, Assistant Professor of Biology in FAS, has been named a 2021 Packard Boyfriend for Science and Engineering by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

Katepalli Sreenivasan, Eugene Kleiner Professor for Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Dean Emeritus at Tandon, received the 2021 Leo P. Kadanoff Prize for achievement in physics.

Kwame Anthony Appiah, Professor of Philosophy and Law, was awarded a Gold Honour Medal by the National Constitute of Social Sciences. In January, he was elected President of the American Academy of Arts and Messages.

Elza Erkip, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering science at Tandon, has won the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Communications Guild Edwin Howard Armstrong Achievement Accolade.
